Pastor Bil has a daily radio broadcast, “A Walk in the Light” and travels extensively sharing God’s truth, encouraging and exhorting the body of Christ in their walk with Jesus.

The Word For Today is a non-profit organization, and an outreach of Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. Our desire is to see the body of Christ grow in their knowledge of God through the study of His Word. Pastor Damian committed his life to the Lord in 1980 at Calvary Chapel Napa California at the age of 25. He had previously been employed as a cable splicer with the phone company. His family moved from Napa to Modesto in June of 1985 to plant a Calvary Chapel there.

A New Beginning

The senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, Greg Laurie began his pastoral ministry at age 19 by leading a Bible study of 30 people. Since then, God has transformed that small group into a church of some 15,000 people. Today, Harvest is one of the largest churches in America.

Jeff York is the senior pastor at Calvary Chapel of Russell, PA. After coming to faith in Christ in the early 1970's, Jeff followed God's calling to enroll at Melodyland School of Theology in Anaheim, California. Jeff's instructor for his "Evangelism" class was Pastor Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa.

Straight From The Heart

Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia began in 1981 when Pastor Joe Focht started a small Bible study in a catering hall. With a strong emphasis on teaching God’s Word verse by verse, the church has grown to minister to approximately 12,000 people weekly with a variety of outreaches and ministries.

Jon Courson has amassed more than 1,500 expositional and topical Bible studies during his ministry. He is the author of A Future and a Hope, A Day’s Journey, and A Place For You, A Pillar By Day, and the 3-volume Jon Courson’s Application Commentary.

Bridging The Gap

Pastor Lloyd Pulley was born in Michigan in 1958. After the death of his mother when he was 4, Lloyd was raised by his godly grandmother, who prayed earnestly that he would someday serve God. Those prayers were answered in 1976 when one of Lloyd’s classmates at Michigan State University shared the gospel with Lloyd, and he received Jesus Christ as his personal savior.

Sound Truth

Malcolm Wild, born and raised in England, always had a great interest in music. He was the first on his street to own a record player! When He got saved, at the age of 20, he and his friend Alwyn began using their love for music to bless the Lord. They traveled around England and in the early 70’s came to the United States to sing and play.

Grace Infusion

Pastor Mike and his wife Lara are from Miami, Florida, and have been serving in ministry for over 20 years. He has planted a church in Fla., South Carolina and recently pastored a pre-established church in New Jersey for almost 12 years.

The Connection

Skip Heitzig is a native of southern California and experienced the volatile days of the counterculture in the late 60s and early 70s. Though raised in a religious home, Skip saw religion as a dead-end street with no answers. As a teenager, he got caught up in drugs and ventured into the occult. But God reached Skip one day in 1973 as he was watching a Billy Graham crusade on TV.
